April 27, 2001, Newsletter Issue #26: Warm Weather Shawls for May

Tip of the Week

This is my Pineapple pattern I adapted to a Mile A Minute Strip.
I suggest 4-6 Strips for a `Stole` and 8 for a larger Shawl. The length is your discretion; however, the most elegant shawls are ones that you can drape both ends over the opposite shoulder.
You can add fringe to this, but I prefer to make an extra strip or two and allow the pattern to be the center of attention.
You can watch Mom`s eyes light up when she unwraps this shawl in her favorite color. Since it is done in a Mile a Minute, you could finish this in plenty of time for Mother`s Day May 13.
