January 27, 2006, Newsletter Issue #61: Blocking Your Doily

Tip of the Week

Most all doilies need blocking. Blocking a doily gives it a smoother shape. When blocking your doily make sure all cut ends are woven in. I use the spary starch that is sold in stores.. Cover your working surface with a bath towel. Lightly spray starch on doily them smooth out. Smooth out from center outwards until you get the look that you want.
